Deiter

Dieter was born with nothing, his father was a soldier in the large scale war in Exandria after the Age of Arcanum came to an end. He never came back so it can only be assumed that he passed on. His mother died after he turned 12 from illness. He had to turn to a life of thievery and crime so he could make it though the calamity. Even with the chaos of the impending doom and the Lord of the Hells roaming the fields of the material plane, mortals still had strife between each other.

This way of living messed with his head. It drove him mad and he developed severe mental illness. His behavior was erratic and spontaneous. His friends, if he could call them that, left him because they couldn't deal with him. But... amidst that darkness one person reached out to him with sincerity and kindness. The man, Terryn, who had lent him an ear when he needed it the most was the closest that he could call a father. Terryn taught him the beauty of life, among other things like fighting, and that meant the world to Dieter. His sycosis started to fade and he found faith in his fellow man.

But like all good things, Terryn met his end. He died, not in the midst of combat against the devils. But at the hands of a poor beggar that had tricked him into letting down his guard so he could rob him. Stricken with grief, Dieter relapsed and began to suffer from panic attacks and intense self-doubt. But this time he had the memories he made with the man who was like his father. His faith in his people didn't waver and this drove him to try and give the chance of redemption to anyone who was willing. Years passed and he became known as the hope of atonement amidst a small group of people. He could pull from divine power, not from any gods, but from his very conviction to his cause of Redemption.

But as his power rose he felt a call. A foreign need implanted itself into his head, and he was summoned to a place very unfamiliar to him. He now stood in the Castle Ruins of Tarathiel.
